The Ram's Gate 2019 Vintage is Officially in Bottle!

At Ram’s Gate Winery, we typically like to avoid combining hype and winemaking. After all, it is our craft. And sometimes, well, the harvest can be humbling. 

With that said, the journey of our California 2019 vintage looks set to be a great one, so bring on the excitement!

Here is how we got to our 2019 vintage release. 

Highlights from the 2019 Harvest Season in Sonoma

While it is difficult to remember anything before 2020, as it was seemingly the longest, most arduous year on record for our planet, we had the opportunity to reflect on 2019 as we officially took our craftsmanship of multiple varietals to its final stage before enjoyment: The bottle. 

Our 2019 vintage selections were culminated from the second-hottest year on record around the globe.  

Fortunately, the sunny 2019 summer conditions countered the spring’s heavy rains, delivering morning fogs that helped preserve the aromatic flavors and essential acidities of the grapes.

In the end, the long growing season of 2019 allowed for an unhurried harvest and what we believe to be some brilliant wines, including our Durell Vineyard Syrah, Hyde Vineyard Syrah, Berler Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Cellar Note Cabernet Sauvignon, and Rhone-style blend Red Wine.

Did we mention the 2019 white wines included in our 2019 vintage releases, like our Sauvignon Blanc, Ram’s Gate Estate, Pinot Blanc, Ram’s Gate Estate, Chardonnay, Cellar Note, and Chardonnay, Ram’s Gate Estate? 

Something for everyone, indeed.
