New Release Spotlight: 2018 Pinot Noir, Cellar Note

At Ram’s Gate Winery, we specially love each of our varietals.

Like children, there are no favorites, simply varying treatments, responses, and actions that make those kids a star in their very own, unique, and beautiful style.

And our 2018 Pinot Noir, Cellar Note shines as the lead in our new release spotlight.

What is the Cellar Note Series at Ram’s Gate Winery?

The Ram’s Gate Cellar Note series is chosen under a watchful eye, pinpointing subsections of our vineyards, clones, and their cellar treatment that are notable and require a special mention.

The result of our Cellar Note selection for this 2018 Pinot Noir is two-fold: a dominant bouquet of dark fruits, including plum, currants, and blackberry that are complemented by anise and lavender that reflect its coastal influence.

What are the Critics Saying About Our 2018 Pinot Noir, Cellar Note?

We can say, as the producers of the 2018 Pinot Noir in question, he is right.

There are just over 500 cases produced.

We are certain this exciting Pinot Noir will continue to evolve as secondary components develop with some bottle age.

Mr. Dunnuck agrees, calling it, “Rich, medium-bodied, and elegant” saying, “It too is going to evolve for a solid 7-8 years.”
