Membership Terms and Conditions
Welcome! Thank you for being a member of Ram’s Gate Winery. To help you make the most of your membership please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the policies regarding your membership.
There is no fee to join, however the membership and benefits do not begin until the first release is purchased. A commitment to take six (for 2 bottle tier) or three (for 6 & 12 bottle tier) club releases per year is required. New members may sign up anytime online, via phone or by visiting the tasting room. By becoming a member you agree to all terms and conditions of membership. Ram’s Gate Winery may update some terms and conditions without prior notice.
By becoming a member you verify that you or the recipient of the club is at least 21 years of age. You authorize Ram’s Gate Winery to charge your credit card for each release (three times per year for 6 & 12 bottle tiers; six times for 2 bottle) and for the optional shipments for a minimum of one year from signup. Cancellation prior to completing this requirement or cancelling after billing without taking the current release may result in additional fees.
Members of the 6 & 12 bottle tiers may choose what wines will be in their shipment from a list of curated, available wines and vintages. Choices must be made via phone or online during the two week open period prior to the club being billed. If no choice is made during the open period, you will receive the pre-selected Winemaker’s Selection. It is not possible to do exchanges or substitutions after billing for releases that are shipped.
For 2 bottle tier you may choose to receive all red wine, all white wine or one red and one white of the current featured club wines. It is not possible to customize the 2 bottle tier to different wines, however we do offer the ability to add additional bottles.
If you are a member of the 6 or 12 bottle club tiers, we will send an email two weeks prior to billing noting important dates and details of the release. For 2 bottle members this notification will be emailed four days prior to billing. It is your responsibility to notify Ram’s Gate Winery of any changes to credit card, billing/shipping address, club tier or wine choice prior to the billing date noted in the email. Unfortunately, we are unable to make any changes after billing.
The club releases will be charged to the credit card on file. It is the member’s obligation to update credit card information online or by phone (707.721.8700) prior to the billing date. In addition, any address changes must be made in writing to email@example.com, phone (707.721.8700) or online at least 2 days prior to this billing. Ram’s Gate Winery is not responsible for shipping charges incurred due to misdirected or returned shipments or changes made after the deadline. If a club shipment is returned for an incorrect address or three failed delivery attempts the member may be responsible for the additional cost of reshipping or a restocking fee of $25.
Club wine purchases, tax and shipping are non-refundable once they have been billed. Costs may change without notice.
Winery pick up are available for 6 & 12 bottle tiers. Will call members are required to pick up their club wines within 30 days of billing. If the member is unable to pick up in that time frame they must call 707.721.8700 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to make other arrangements prior to the 30 day requirement. If a club release is not picked up within the 30 day period, and no prior arrangements have been made, the wines will be carefully packed and shipped to the primary address on file for an additional charge. If we are unable to ship to the member or it was returned, the member agrees to forego the wine and any refund.
Shipping is included for our 6 & 12 bottle tiers. A flat shipping rate of $15 is charged for 2 bottle tier members. Due to federal law requiring all wine shipments to be signed by a person at least 21 years of age, a daytime delivery address, preferably a business address, is requested. Shipments are handled by UPS or FedEx and cannot be delivered to PO, FPO, APO or IPO boxes.
We ship direct to the following states: AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, ID, IL, MA, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, VA, WA, and WY.
We use a third party shipping company for the following states: AK, HI, IA, IN, KS, LA, ME, MT, NE, NJ, NM, SC, and WI.
We are unable to ship to the following states: AR, DE, KY, MS, ND, NH, OK, RI, SD, UT, VT and WV.
At this time there is no international shipping available.
Temperature extremes can pose a threat to the overall quality of the wine. Ram’s Gate Winery does our best to monitor the weather. We utilize delayed shipping, FedEx Cold Chain or UPS Next Day Air during the hot summer months. However, we cannot assume liability for wines that are overheated or frozen if weather changes occur during transit.
Ram’s Gate Winery is not responsible for shipping charges incurred due to misdirected or returned shipments or changes made after the deadline. If a club shipment is returned for an incorrect address or three failed delivery attempts the member will be responsible for the additional cost of reshipping or a restocking fee of $25. If we are unable to confirm a good shipping address and expected date of delivery or there have been two missed deliveries the member will forfeit the wine and no refunds will be issued.
Holds and Cancellations
You may place your membership “on hold” for one shipment per calendar year with a written notice to email@example.com at least 5 days prior to club billing. Please note that a hold on membership also suspends all club benefits including complimentary tastings at the winery.
Requests to cancel your membership can be made after you have met the minimum number of releases depending on tier and in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org. Cancellations that are requested during a scheduled club period will be processed and shipped as the final one. All wine purchases, tax and shipping are non-refundable after billing.
If the member cancels prior to receiving the minimum commitment of their tier or cancels after billing and does not take the current club release a cancellation fee of $100 will apply.
Our members are our best advocates and we encourage them to refer their friends as members. With each new membership that has a current member’s name as the referrer, the current member will earn a $25 gift card.
Once the membership team reviews the new member’s application, a gift card will be mailed to the referring member. The card may be used to purchase bottles of wine or merchandise only (not valid for glasses/tastings/shipping/club shipments). Referrals cannot be for multiple people in the same household. To receive the credit the current member (the one who is referring someone else) must be in good standing and have taken at least two club releases. This program is subject to change without notice.
