Ruby Oliveros

Executive Chef

With more than 15 years of experience in the hospitality and culinary industries, Ruby Oliveros joined the Ram’s Gate Winery team as executive chef in 2022 and is leading the winery’s culinary program.

Ruby comes to Ram’s Gate with formal training from the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco and experience at a variety of San Francisco’s top restaurants. She spent the first nine years of her restaurant career at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group working her way up from an internship in 2006 to sous chef. There, she worked under the mentorship of Silk’s Chef de Cuisine Joel Huff, mirroring his meticulous attention to detail and culinary techniques. In 2015, the property was purchased by Loews Regency where she created an entirely new menu and earned Employee of the Year for taking over the restaurant and all of the hotel's culinary outlets during transition. In 2016, she joined Rotunda at Neiman Marcus as executive chef where she introduced several signature dishes and met Kristoffer Miller who now serves as Ram’s Gate’s hospitality director. Most recently, she served as executive chef at Oakhurst Country Club. Attracted by the opportunity to have full creative freedom and explore pairing local ingredients with estate grown wine, she was thrilled to join the Ram’s Gate team in the spring of 2022.

Originally from the Philippines, Ruby combines her fine-dining experience with the styles of food that first ignited her passion for cooking during her childhood helping her mother and grandmother in the kitchen. Inspired by Ram’s Gate’s desire to create a unique wine and culinary experience unlike any other in Sonoma, she brings her extensive background of working with a myriad of international flavors to Ram’s Gate’s new culinary experiences.
