2019 Pinot Noir, El Diablo Vineyard

An exuberant bottling of this Pinot Noir block perched on a north-facing slope on Eastside Road. The fruit composition is both intensely flavored and yielded higher natural acidity that played out magically as a wine. On the nose the wine pops from the glass with red currant, rhubarb, and strawberry preserves. With a whole-cluster fermentation, the stems lend a hint of chai spice to the nose, playing a minor role to the currently fruit-driven core.
