Kristoffer Miller

Director of Hospitality

At Ram’s Gate Winery, Kristoffer Miller has seamlessly merged his hands-on experience working in both wineries and restaurants into his role as director of hospitality. He oversees all aspects of the Ram’s Gate hospitality experiences including the world-class culinary program and private events.

After graduating from Buena Vista University in 2000 with a degree in finance, Kristoffer quickly realized his passion lay not the skyscrapers of San Francisco’s accounting firms but in the romance of the food and beverage industry. He has since spent the last 20 years of his career managing business development and sales for some of the Bay Area’s best culinary and hospitality programs.

Beginning in 2002, he was the director of food and beverage for San Francisco’s historic Hotel Majestic, followed by five years as director of business development for Ducca Westin San Francisco Market Street. There, he helped build the sales and events program for the new restaurant from the ground up in collaboration with rising-star chef Rick Corbo. He then went on to work at highly acclaimed steakhouse 5A5 Restaurant and Mandarin Oriental Hotel group before spending four years as director and general manager for Neiman Marcus Restaurants San Francisco. While at Neiman Marcus, he met and worked with Chef Ruby Oliveros, who today serves as Ram’s Gate’s executive chef.

Throughout his time managing food, beverage and events programs in San Francisco, he often found himself escaping to Sonoma to go wine tasting on the weekends. In 2018 he decided to take the leap and find a position that would allow him to work in Wine Country full-time. He took his experience managing hospitality programs to Kendall Jackson Winery, where he spent four years as estate manager overseeing the winery’s tasting room and events.

Kristoffer joined Ram’s Gate in the Spring of 2022, inspired by the beautiful property, world-class wines and the ability to work across the Ram’s Gate winemaking, culinary and sales teams. With two decades of stellar hospitality experience under his belt, Kristoffer is excited to develop new intimate and interactive wine and culinary experiences.

When he is not at the winery hosting guests, Kristoffer enjoys traveling, cooking and hosting friends and family at his home in Santa Rosa, CA.
