Gap’s Crown Vineyard

Located in the rolling foothills of Sonoma Mountain, Gap’s Crown Vineyard is nestled within the Petaluma Gap and benefits from cool air breezing in from the coast. The entire vineyard is 138 acres in total, ranging in elevation from 300 to 840 feet above sea level on rocky, well-drained soils.

Its Pinot Noir rarely faces difficulty ripening, as many of the vines are above the fog line, protected from too-ferocious wind gusts. As a result, the Gap’s Crown name has continued to rise in acclaim in recent years. Look for plum, cherry vanilla and bright pomegranate flavors nodding to the wind signature of this esteemed site.
