Bismark Vineyard

Within the portfolio of vineyards from which we source fruit, Bismark Vineyard is unique – not only in that it’s the source of Cabernet Sauvignon rather than Chardonnay, Pinot Noir or Syrah, but in its altitude, over 2000 feet above Sonoma Valley. This region, located east of Glen Ellen in the Mayacamas Mountains, is distinct enough to have warranted its own AVA in 2013: Moon Mountain District.

On this small, steeply-sloped property, intense sunlight is contrasted by cool air temperatures to ripen its grapes powerfully and evenly. The resulting wines consistently give us a dynamic interpretation of Cabernet, with ripe blackberry bramble, clove and anise notes.
